LA REVOLUTION DE LA COULEUR DE ROBERTA DI CAMERINO

Dans le cadre spectaculaire du Palazzo Fortuny est en cours (jusqu’au 8 mai 2011) une exposition consacrée à la célèbre designer vénitienne Giuliana Coen (1920) aka Roberta di Camerino, qui a réinventé la mode pour les femmes depuis les années 50.
Un « total look » qui n’intéresse pas seulement les vêtements, mais est également répliqué sur les accessoires en utilisant des velours, des combinaisons de couleurs et des formes du tout inhabituelles et extravagantes. Et encore foulards, parapluies, valises et sacs (le fameux “Bagonghi », tant apprécié par la Princesse Grace de Monaco).
C’était une véritable « révolution de la couleur » qui a apporté un souffle de nouveauté et de fraîcheur dans le monde de la mode.
Roberta di Camerino a inventé l’impression en trompe-l’oeil sur les tissus, de ceintures, de revers, de plis et de boutons.
Après le grand succès obtenu au Musée Revoltella de Trieste, l’exposition a atterri dans la lagune vénitienne, où le célèbre Musée Fortuny est un cadre idéal, en parfaite harmonie de couleurs et de styles entre les peintures de Mariano Fortuny et la collection de Roberta.

LES VORTICISTES EN EXPOSITION A VENISE

La Collection Peggy Guggenheim à Venise présente une exposition entièrement consacrée au Vorticisme. Le mouvement littéraire et artistique britannique formé à Londres en 1914.

D’abord influencé par le Futurisme italien et par le Cubisme français, ce groupe d’avant-garde favorise une peinture du mouvement et de dynamisme qui préfère la définition des contours avec des angles vifs et des lignes renforcées par une série de lignes géométriques qui créent des images tourbillonnantes.

Le terme Vorticisme a été conçu par Ezra Pound et Blast était le manifeste du groupe. Il a été édité par Percy Wyndham Lewis et le premier numéro (de deux) contenait deux articles agressifs par Lewis.

Bien que vorticisme est né à Londres, plusieurs membres étaient américains, par exemple le sculpteur Jacob Epsteinand, photographe Alvin Langdon Coburn, ainsi que l’important mécène John Quinn.
L’exposition présentera environ 100 œuvres, comprenant peintures, sculptures, œuvres sur papier, la photographie, et imprimés.

BOSCH A PALAIS GRIMANI – VENISE

Après le succès de l’exposition consacrée à trois des plus célèbres œuvres de Giorgione, Palazzo Grimani à Venise est maintenant avec trois œuvres de Jérôme Bosch.
Bosch est né c. 1450 à ‘s-Hertogenbosch en Brabant-Septentrional et, autant que nous le savons, la plupart de sa vie passée dans cette ville isolée de la province. Ses peintures bizarres et fantastiques ont perplexe et intrigué les téléspectateurs pendant des siècles, mais au cours des siècles plus tôt, il était largement admis que ses scènes diaboliques ne visaient qu’à amuser ou titiller, un peu comme le “grotteschi” de la Renaissance italienne ornement.

Son travail a toujours été très populaire ainsi que controversée. Ses paysages représentant humains, les animaux et des créatures fabuleuses dans divers états d’extase et la misère ont été grandement imité par ses contemporains et a jeté les bases pour le mouvement surréaliste du 20e siècle.
Ces trois œuvres ont fait partie de la collection du cardinal Domenico Grimani et au Cardinal la mort, ils ont été donnés à la Sérénissime et est entré collections du Palais des Doges.

Dans le “Triptyque Ermite Saints” (1510) de Bosch, saint Antoine, Jérôme et Giles semble t-il pas que des objets de dévotion, mais en tant que sujets dans la dévotion. Enivré joie, ils sont eux-mêmes la libération de plus en plus des lois de la gravité et l’obéissance à la attraction du royaume de la lumière.

Le «Triptyque de Saint Liberata» (1505) offre de sérieux doutes sur l’iconographie interprétation. Il peut représenter la Liberata, Vierge Fortis, condamné à la croix par sa propre
père, le roi du Portugal.

It thus became the mirror of a history and humanity undergoing profound changes.
Canova and Modigliani, two internationally renowned protagonists but with absolutely different personalities, open and close this passionate tale in paintings in which both great names in history and the anonymous extras of a domestic epic appear. Painted and sculptured, of individuals and groups, with or without a setting, celebrative or introspective, these portraits all evoke the changes and restlessness of a society undergoing rapid transformation, interpreting the expectations of a country that was achieving political unity for the very first time. However, above all they also represent decisive changes in style, the artists’ efforts to become more modern, to testify reality in its incessant transformation from a new perspective.

The Poetics of Written Space – Handwriting and calligraphy

Museo Correr and the Fondazione Musei Civici Veneziani propose an educational itinerary through handwriting which is the synthesis of both traditional and contemporary visual communication.

The exhibition, presented by Monica Dengo, includes handwritten documents from the Museum Correr Library, in particular materials documenting the private and daily use of handwriting over the centuries, along with contemporary artworks of art that have in common the practice of writing by hand as image, bundle of written marks capable of communicating per se.

The show is organized in four parts:

- Historical: manuals, letters and private documents with handwritings from the 1500′s to the 1900′s from the Correr Museum;

- Contemporary: artworks on paper and artist’s books by contemporary artists working with Western, Islamic and Eastern calligraphy. Artists: Kitty Sabatier (France), Benno Aumann (Italy-Germany), Satsuki Hatsushima (England-Japan), Adriana Seri (Italy), Xin Ye (France-China).
